Project Evaluation Reports

We work hard to make sure that our shows and projects have the biggest impact they can and we aim to constantly improve what we do using evidence from our audiences and partners. Our team have over 100 years of collective experience working as professionals in the field of STEM engagement, and part of our mission is to disseminate what we learn about our impact as widely as possible. Members of the team regularly present our project results and learning at conferences and meetings in the UK and beyond, and we make our evaluation reports publicly available on this site or through direct links to the publication where appropriate. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions about these reports or if would like to use them in any of your work. We would ask that you reference Science Made Simple as the author unless otherwise specified.

Our founding Director, Wendy Sadler, also holds an academic role at Cardiff University and is the Head of the Physics Education Research Group. She has research interests in informal learning, science demonstrations, role models in STEM and public engagement. She has published work on the impact of using science demonstrations in science shows as explained in the short video extract below.

Through our partnership with Cardiff University we also work on joint student projects using data from Science Made Simple activities. Although these cannot always be published, we aim to share the headlines of all relevant findings and ensure the students involved are co-authors on any published reports.
