Why should scientists engage with the public? What do we know about what they think, and how can this help us become better at framing our messages?

To reach a mass audience it is essential to work in partnership with the mass media.

On this course, you will learn about why relationships between scientists and the media can be difficult and how you can build a more positive experience for both parties by understanding the different needs of both sides. Using experiences from various campaigns and events, you will examine case studies of success and failure and get a unique opportunity to practise your skills in a safe environment to become media-ready!
